Welcome to the James Apter Friendship Fund
The James Apter Friendship Fund was set up in 2012 in memory of a very special little boy. James Apter was born with Cystic Fibrosis and was sadly diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia on April 8th 2011. James fought hard for 5 months fighting his cancer, but tragically lost his battle on 8th September 2011, aged just 9 years old. Our aim is to provide gifts and toys for the children who receive medical treatments on the Cystic Fibrosis and Oncology Wards at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
